📘 About Punjab E-Challan (Useful Information)
🛑 What Is an E-Challan in Punjab?
An e-challan is an electronic traffic fine issued by the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA).
It is generated automatically through traffic cameras, or manually by traffic wardens for rule violations.
🎥 How E-Challan Is Captured
Punjab uses ANPR cameras (Automatic Number Plate Recognition). These cameras detect violations such as:
- 🚦 Signal breaking
- 🚗 Wrong lane driving
- 📵 Using mobile phone while driving
- ⏩ Over speeding
- 🛵 Riding without helmet
- 🚘 Number plate issues
- 🅿️ Illegal parking
If a violation is detected, PSCA matches your vehicle plate, creates a challan, and uploads it to the system.
📮 How E-Challan Is Delivered
You may receive your challan through:
- 📨 Home delivery by courier
- 📱 SMS alerts (if your number is registered)
- 🌐 Online portal (primary method)
Many people don’t receive the paper copy at home, so checking online is very important.
